Tom Onslow-Cole has re-signed with Milltek Sport for 2017: click to enlargeTom Onslow-Cole has re-signed a partnership with British premium exhaust manufacturer Milltek Sport for a seventh consecutive season, in which the professional race driver will contest more than 20 races around the world.

OC, who first partnered with Milltek Sport during his time in the British Touring Car Championship, has become an integral part of the Derby-based business thanks to a flourishing relationship that benefits both parties.

"The perfect partnership is one where both parties not only look at what they can take from each other but also what they can give," OC said. "Steve and the team from Milltek Sport have always been supportive of my career as it's developed and diversified, and I'd like to think they’d say the same."

As part of the sponsorship deal, OC: represents the brand with consumers, the media and retailers; provides tailored photo and video content; promotes new products and services; heads-up its internal driver development programme and joins its race team in GT and touring car events.

"Last year, Milltek Sport put me through my Nürburgring A-permit and allowed me to join their VLN programme," he continued. "As a direct result of that experience, I've got a factory deal with BMW to drive in the 24-hour race. For that, and for six years of loyal support, I am truly thankful."

In 2017, Milltek Sport will contest the full VLN Series at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a Toyota Motorsport GT86 CS-Cup car and OC will join them for three rounds after the 24-hour race.

"Following my BMW exploits, I will once again be back racing at the 'Ring with Milltek Sport and their Toyota GT86. We had some great results towards the end of last year and I’m hoping I can support them in taking the class win, in 2017."

In fact, this season promises to be the biggest yet for both brands. While OC's programme extends to more than 20 high-profile international GT races, Milltek Sport is rapidly expanding into America, Australia and Germany and the new Milltek Innovation brand is developing new products to bring to market.

"We are pleased to be able to continue our partnership with Tom into 2017," commented Steve Pound, Milltek Sport's Managing Director. "His work as a brand ambassador in helping promote Milltek Sport across the many racing championships he's competing in, plus his valuable input into product development and testing, is really helping Milltek Sport remain at the forefront of the industry. We have lots of exciting projects and events lined up for 2017 and look forward having Tom on board for these."
